Action Outdoors/UCPA UK are seeking a full time Customer Service Advisor & Operations Administrator seconded to the Chamonix office. This is a great opportunity to join an enthusiastic small team who organise and administer an amazing range of winter and summer activity holidays as the official partner of UCPA France. UCPA are a huge not- for- profit organisation with centres across France and the world, with over 250,000 participants per year. You will have a varied and interesting role with lots of challenge ensuring the best possible experience for our clients across a range of activities including skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, mountain biking and watersports. It is winter sports, however, that make up the bulk of the sales - we have the broadest range of off piste and ski touring courses in the winter sports sector with 9 centres in the best locations across the French Alpes, e.g. Tignes, Val d’Isere, Chamonix, Flaine, Val Thorens, La Plagne and more. It is a great product to sell. The role is varied, no two days are the same and it offers an exciting challenge for the right person in an organisation that has seen significant growth and continues to develop. You must share our company values –  be passionate about the outdoors and outdoor sports, and believe that these sports should be accessible to everyone.

The Role 

  • Deliver the best customer service in answering booking queries by email, online chat and phone 
  • Efficiently manage post-booking queries by email, online chat and phone and amend bookings accordingly 
  • Manage the Action Outdoors and UCPA UK email inboxes
  • Process invoices 
  • Check participant arrival information with UCPA centres 
  • Liaise with UCPA central functions, UCPA centres and suppliers 
  • Manage group rooming arrangements
  • Support sales and deliver web-based marketing activities 
  • Audit web content
  • Create and update training materials 
  • Support training and mentoring of new members of the team
  • Support Action Outdoors events 
  • Participate in CPD activities

  • Customer service and administration experience 
  • Computer Literate (Microsoft Office inc Excel products)
  • Experience in web content management systems (CMS)
  • Educated to degree level
  • French language skills
  • Passionate about the mountains and outdoor sports 

This is a full time position however flexible hours may be considered, work life balance is important. A competitive remuneration package is offered with lift pass included.
