Hi everyone,

I've got a pair of old C2 crampons made by Camp, not sure what model though. The rivets holding the plastic strap at the front are starting to get a little worn, to the point where I'm worried that they'll break when I try to use them!

Has anyone ever tried replacing these, and if so how? I don't have access to any new rivets so I was thinking of using nuts and bolts, probably with araldite (or similar epoxy) to stop them coming undone. Does this seem like a reasonable solution?

That sounds ideal, thanks!

Happy to help, hope they've got some in stock. Needlepoint, with whom I have no connection besides being an occasional customer, are one of those shops that not only have all manner of useful odds and bits, as many others also do, but also list them on their website, which others seem not to do to the same extent.

I've used their rivets very successfully on neoprene and later on nylon tape straps several times, completely replacing old strap systems and not had a failure.  Very easy to use.

Damn autocorrect.  Needlesports, of course.
