Solihull Mountaineering club have booked some chalets in the Ecrins in the French Alps during August, and we have some 8 spare places from 25th August to 1st September (1 week).
The Ecrins offer a wide range of mountaineering and climbing options. These include loads of mountaineering up 3,000m to 4,000m peaks, long multi-pitch rock climbing routes from 300m to 500m long, Via Ferrate routes, to single pitch sport climbing and even some quality bouldering.
The chalets we have booked are in the village of Vallouise, only 11km from Ailefroide, where there are plenty of mountaineering and climbing options. The cost of a bed in the chalet is £152 for the week. Links to the two chalets are:
