Lots of good Lyme related articles in the media this week raising awareness about ticks and Lyme disease. Well done to the BMC for a good, informative article

Thanks - you're right, very informative. I thought I was reasonable well informed but I learnt a few things there - particularly about the other disease possibilities. 

That made me wonder about the possibility of these diseases spreading here. How did Lyme disease get into the UK tick population? How can we stop it happening again with other diseases?

I'd happily fork out for a Lyme's disease vaccine.
