Hi

I have just been quoted £160 for putting in 200 gms of down into my mug loved 15 year old Quantum bag.  (I used to joke at one time that it cost more than my car).  It hasn't been keeping me warm for several years now.  After cleaning the pack down size also expanded.   I wondered what people think of getting it restuffed or biting the bullet and buying a new equivalent one and if so what people recommend.  I don't do mountain hiking but I do sleep cold and want something I can use on Dartmoor in the winter.  Appreciate any advice !

I've got an old style Rab Quantum 600 Endurance, made in Sheffield in very good condition. Let me know if of interest.

Take it to Alpkit in Hathersage for a quote. They are pretty reasonable and work they have done for me has been excellent. (I rarely recommend anyone as I am an old grouch!)

In reply to johncook:thanks will give them a ring 🙂 people who quoted £160 were Scottish mountain Equipment who were recommended by Rab..

There is also a company in Lancashire who repair 'sporting' goods but don't know if they do down or even where they are.

Good luck.
