After several years of Alpine climbing on both mixed and trad routes, as well as plenty of UK climbs and Scottish and Welsh winter, I am looking to commit time and money into climbing 7000m and potentially an 8000m peak in the future as a long term goal. I have already enjoyed climbing several unnamed 6000m peaks in Ladakh and I am looking to move higher, whilst still ascending mountains that require technical skills rather than trekking peaks. Any suggestions as to suitable targets as well as other goals or experiences that may be useful?

Many thanks

Khan Tengri is a mighty fine looking mountain? Not quite 7k, but Ama Dablam?

Pumori, could also be an idea with a view to some of the 8,000 m in the vicinity
