Those of you with older MSR snowshoes like my Denali Ascents with their 'classic' straps should buy yourselves some spare straps - the majority of mine broke over the course of 2 days last week, the plastic (PU?) has become stiff and brittle with age. Same with the grey heel lifter tabs, they've both broken too. Losing the ability to keep your snowshoes on your feet could easily result in an epic or worse.
