Mackies ice cream - confused

Just opened a tub, traditional real dairy ice cream, and I thought: ‘that looks green’.  Decided to eat some and it’s minty, not overly strong. They don’t do a pure mint flavour. Weird. Think I’ll eat a load then take it back and complain, tell them I have a mint allergy and nearly died.

Sir that's our mild-mint flavour and it doesn't actually contain any mint 😁

Sounds like someone accidentally made the mint chocolate one without getting to the point where the chocolate is added?

Mick that makes it rare, like a stamp with a flaw in it. Probably really valuable,  unless you eat it course...

Aye, I thought of that. Anyway, it came out of the other end a few minutes ago and at least I’m alive and not poisoned by some rare minty flavoured virus.

I suggest you re-read some of your recent posts.  😄

Was it in a tube, rather than a tub? Similar spelling, easy to get confused.

In reply to dread-i:

Its in the standard blue tub.

I once nearly brushed my teeth with Anusol so I admit I’m easily confused.

Interestingly I found what I think are Wood Ears fungi this morning and will be cooking them up for the kids tea, just to be on the safe side before I try them myself.

I saw something in the FT a couple of weeks ago about Mackies being taken over by an American conglomerate called "Soylent Industries Inc." - does that help?

Perhaps it’s chlorinated ice cream?

or chlorinated people?

I love the "That looks green" so decided to eat some.

Your a brave man Mick, a brave man.

Mackies ice cream is of similar standard to their chocolate - absolute shite. (Thorntons is the same - I don't get who willingly buys it)

My wife once asked the local chemist for Anusol for my daughter as she was teething. When the chemist stopped laughing hysterically she mentioned it was Anbesol she needed.

Better than putting toothpaste on your piles I suspect.
