We're staying up in Assynt for the next week and would love to climb the Old Man of Stoer. Has anyone done it recently? Is there gear in place for a Tyrolean traverse? I know in the past there has been.
Also, tide times. Anyone know the best website to check the local timings for tides?
As for whether there is a Tylolean in situ, I wouldn't bank on it. Even if there is one today, it could be gone by next week. Best to go prepared to swim and set one up if necessary.
