Hi, I am suffering from a gym accident a couple of months ago. There was some discussion on here https://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/walls+training/horrific_accident-736156 about the thread on mountain project here https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/120894130/anal-impalement. Yesterday an article was published in climbing magazine and gymclimber magazine about this accident. https://www.gymclimber.com/ https://www.climbing.com/news/climber-suffers-anal-impalement-after-auto-be... with some additional discussion about the situation here https://www.mountainproject.com/forum/topic/121177588/anal-impalement-artic.... I'm not sure how to add hyperlinks or images of the accident, but they are over there if you want to look.

I work remotely with a lot of people in the UK, and most of my living climbing heroes (Andy, Dave, Pete, Tom, Hazel, Steve, Robbie, James) are from the UK. I like to call the boots, boots, which my friends think is dumb but I don't care. I bought all of Andy and Dave's books, and Pete's crack climbing book. I have a lot of respect for traditional UK climbing and it is the style I strive for, despite hardly climbing E1 before my accident.

Pete rope soloing El Cap was what inspired me to start rock climbing and I started climbing in this style for a while before getting some professional guidance/instruction and eventually a climbing partner in my brother-in-law.

Not sure now if I'll get to lay my hands on that grit or the big stone, but I sure was looking forward to them both. I have a long road to whatever level of recovery I will reach. The adaptive climbing community has reached out to let me know they are there when I'm ready, which was super rad! It will be a long time, but maybe someday you'll see me up there jugging behind Honnold's mom.

Kind Regards,

Brandon

I wish you the best recovery, mate.
All I have to add is that I sincerely apologise for doubting the original story when it landed.
