Paid a visit to a nearby barn owl site. Reckon last nights rain would have scuppered it’s hunting, meaning it may be forced to come out early this evening. And it did. Caught a prey item almost straight away and flew back to the nest site. Popped back after five minutes and caught another straight away! Not easy to photo - they move quicker than you think, and light not so good. Still good though !
I’m starting to get to grips with the camera settings (including ISO) to get a reasonable picture in poor light. Barn owls are superb birds. Always get that exciting feeling when I see one. Bit like when you see a kingfisher, or see a Sparrowhawk whizz past you.
