I've navigated around Europe offline happily for the last 4-5 years using Maps.me phone app. It's been great. However in the last 6 months the software has been tinkered with too much and it's not so useful (massive popups block half the screen whilst you're driving; the route-to and from selection has been screwed up, bookmark export import is far trickier for saving data...). Many users complain of similar sillyness in the feedback comments.
So I've discovered Organic Maps, which is an open source "fork" of the same program, and seems to behave like Maps.me did 4-5 years ago when I started using it. So looks good. I'll just have to download all of the European maps into the Organic Maps repository, since the two progs don't share same directory structure.
Has anybody used Organic Maps enough to comment on it's usefulness, reliability, or any issues?
