Hi all,

in need of a new gps / running watch, my old Apple Watch 4 lasts about 3 hours on the hill if I’m recording data etc before the battery dies. 
has any body got or used the above watch as I’m quite tempted needs good battery life, gps maps etc. for hill running.

I've got the Apex 1 (not the pro version) and really impressed. The battery lasts weeks in normal day to day mode and still doesn't seem to use much tracking/recording at least for hill walking anyway - maybe 20% over 4/5 hours hill walk on full GPS. No maps but it has bread crumb navigation, you can sync a GPX route from the OS maps app and follow it on the watch. Looks like they've added topo maps to the Apex 2 and better battery life on what I find is really good already. Screen isn't as bright as an apple watch but guess that helps the battery. Hope that helps
