Alpinism in October

Hi all,

I am hankering for another alpine trip, however due to the nature of my work and commitment to a Pembrokeshire summer climbing holiday I probably can only go around October time.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where i might be able to go for some alpine style mountains around this time.
I will also take climbing gear in case the weather doesn't suit going high, but my preference would be to try on alpine routes if possible.

Hi, unfortunately it’s just luck with your weather. We went to Cham last October and had one bluebird day, and went climbing around the midi on the glacier, the rest of the week it rained solid so ended up climbing in the rain at the local crag and some walking

its that balance between being quieter late season and the potential for poor weather or busy but more stable earlier

saying that the seasons are changing now anyway
