To me , the two main advantages of down are weight and pack size.

Amazing that neither are mentioned in this gear news item. 

I guess because well made well designed down bags are all basically about the same weight and pack size for the same quality and amount of down in them. So it's not that Marmot are making down bags - they've been doing that for donkey's years - it's that these bags have got added magic gold dust in them, that at least sounds very cool - I have no idea if it actually works though!
