I know Paramo waterproofs are a bit marmite but with regards to the base layers are they just a polyester shirt with a lot of marketing hype and a massively inflated price tag or are they actually better at dealing with sweat than anything else?
I use the Paramo Grid long sleeve base layer for work and play. They work really well for me, great at wicking sweat away and are warm enough as a base/mid layer on their own. When used with a Paramo Aspira jacket in deepest winter, I never wear anything else underneath - though I might throw a belay jacket over everything if it's really Arctic. I like 'em.
