I don't really know about say the path from Shatton to Hathersage. I wouldn't especially fancy it today.
The closest I've been is looking at the raging torrent at the weir upstream of Shatton at Brough Mill. on Friday evening.
There was certainly plenty of water in the river (plus an extra river running across a field) there.
