The New Year clear out continues:

Some lovely vintage mountain maps that would make attractive displays items, a few fairly rare. Message for photos & more details, open to reasonable offers for multiple items or collection in Oxford to save postage. 

Cuillin Maps:

The Cuillin Hills Skye, Scottish Mountaineering Club, possibly 1932?, 6 inches to the miles, linen, W99cm x H76cm, black & red printing. As per item 325951179826 on a well known auction site at £17.70 but in significantly better condition - £15 posted

The Black Cuillin, Isle of Skye, Scottish Mountaineering Club, reprint of the 1923 map produced from photographic triangulation by Howard Priestman, scale 3 inches to 1 mile, W50cm x H73cm, black printing, VG condition - £8 posted 

Black Cuillin of Skye, Cicerone, 1982, 1:20,000, contour interval 200', W60cm x H79cm, 4 colour printing. An attractive coloured map. Published with the book Scrambles in the Black Cuillin of Skye by J. Wilson Parker - £10 posted (a copy of the Scrambles guide available for another £3)

Fantastic double sided map W67cm x H94cm in superb condition. The Black Cuillin, Isle of Skye, Scottish Mountaineering Trust, 1977, scale 1:15,000, diagrammatic, 4 colour printing. Reverse is a lovely Rock Relief Map by Adam Kassyk, 1987, scale 1:12,500, 25'/100' contour interval, 2 colour printing. As per item 256256172232 at a well known auction site at £29.99. In as good, if not better condition - £22 posted

Western Scotland:

Batholomew's Half Inch Map of Skye and Wester Ross, May 1956, cloth, scale 1:126,720, 250' contour interval, W84cm x H57cm, 7? colour printing. A great map covering some of Scotland's best mountain terrain, a bit worn - £6 posted

Lake District:

Batholomew's One Inch Map of The Lake District, c.1957, cloth, scale 1:63,360, 200'/250' contour interval, W86cm x H75cm, 6 colour printing. Fairly common but in VG condition - £7.50 posted

Batholomew's Half Inch Map of The Lake District, June 1949, cloth, scale 1:126,720, 200'/250' contour interval, W84cm x H57cm, 7? colour printing. Worn condition - just £4.50 posted

Wales:

Snowdonia, West Col Mountain Maps, 1970, two sheets, W45cm x H63cm, in worn slip case, scale 1:25,000, diagrammatic, 3 colour printing. Southern Sheet, Snowdon and the Glyders, Northern Sheet, The Glyders and Carnedddau. Stylish and scarce maps, as per item 154362379479 on a well known auction site at £19.50 but in slightly poorer condition, hence £12 posted
