Good afternoon. I have read the Scarpa Manta Tech’s review and that of the Salewa Ascent Mid GTX, and I can't decide which pair of boots to buy.

On the one hand I consider that the Salewa have a more comfortable tread, because the Scarpa have a kind of spur on the front of the sole that with each tread offers a stop that interrupts the swing of the tread.

But on the other hand I have the feeling that the Scarpa will be better companions on long days of a lot of snow, given that the skin is 3mm thick compared to the 2.2 of the Salewa.

In short, what has been your experience and which ones would you stay with and why? My use will be in 3000 of the Pyrenees, Spain, and both brands feel comfortable for my foots.

A mate of mine uses the Salewa because they are more comfortable but I use the Scarpa because I think they will last better.

Of the two the Salewa (assuming it fits your foot) will be way more comfortable for long days. They are light and reasonably flexible
