Can anyone recommend a bouldering wall in Stavanger where I can drop in for a single session without needing to purchase a membership? I'll be in the area for work for a couple of weeks, based in the centre. Thank you.

In reply to SWalls: the wall at the university, SIS is pretty small,  hot, sweaty, busy but very good setting , good for training and has a Kilter board set at a hideous angle.

Bouldering at Sormarka has good setting  usually, random grades, and can be tricky to warm up. Better for lead.

AIR in Forus is not recommended for bouldering , by me anyway, as the sets are hit or miss and the Mats are very, very hard.

Where are you working? What grade outside? Afterwork outside options exist

In reply to SWalls: Any of the above will do drop in but do you have a Brattkort?

In reply to wbo2:

Thanks for the advice. I'm staying in the centre and working up in Randaberg but doing long shifts so would just be looking to get a couple of hours in the evening.

Do you need a Brattkort for bouldering or just for roped climbing? Is it something you can just do when you turn up?
