Last night we were at Stanage and it rained so we bailed and there were a few folks finishing routes but the consensus largely was just to bail off and accept it.
However i'd love to know who the group of 6 or so muppets were heading up to Higgar Tor area with mats as we drove past, clearly intending to do some bouldering in the rain; potentially damaging the rock and leaving sticky chalky mess everywhere.
It concerns me enough to bother to post that a lot of people these days either do not understand that they can damage fragile grit by climbing it when its wet or just don't care?
