This came up in my Twitter feed: the story of a Polish soldier who created what’s claimed to be the largest terrain relief map in the world as a thank-you to Scotland. Rather lovely. And it’s still there.

Oh, I thought this was going to be about Traprain and Limekilns.

But really - yeah, I've visited it twice, it's quite interesting and well worth a look if you're in the area, though perhaps not worth a trip in its own right unless you live nearby.

Last time I was there it was in the middle of being repaired, and not at its best. Not sure what it's like at the moment.

Fantastic bit of work.  I'm sure I saw something about this on our "local" news (BorderTV)

In the grounds of Barony Castle Hotel. Which interestingly (or maybe not....)was where many of the Paramedics and Ambulance Technicians in Scotland were trained as it was the training centre for the Scottish Ambulance Service until 2011-ish.
