I am looking at getting a lightweight hammock for chilling at the campsite, not interested in sleeping.   Am used to a cotton one in the garden but it does not pack well.   The ones i have looked at (Alpkit/sea to summit) seemed very thin material,  I know it will be strong but are they comfortable and robust?  am happy to get something a bit heavier but cannot see anything obvious.

TIA

Ticket to the Moon are a make to check out too. They do a decent enough range of accessories too.

Oooh now then, as a regular hammock user at work (offshore wind turbines) there are two I'd recommend.

Decathlon basic, light, cheap and cheerful definitely won't break the bank, easy erection 😉 and comfy, cotton.

Snap On Tools, twice the price of decathlon on but a good bit lighter made of ripstop nylon. Excellent bit of kit
