I'm looking for suggestions for a good evening crag venue in between Leeds and manchester. Somewhere with a short walk in and good climb density, quick drying? Amy suggestions welcome, thankyou

Pule Hill, Hobson Moor, Den Lane and about 100 other places 🙂 Leeds-manchester is a good route for grabbing some grotty quarry climbing 🙂

The UKC crag database is a goldmine for stuff like this.

Heptonstall for a decidedly non-grotty quarry experience!

Don't be tempted by Darby Delph - the quarry you can see north of the M62 where it bifurcates. It's not vey good.

Eh?  Its above Hebden Bridge, equidistant between Manchester and Leeds on a main rail/road route!

Edinburgh is probably equidistant and on a main rail/road route 😁

True!  It would be news however to all the folk, including me,who moved here because it was a short distance to either Leeds or Manc!

Fair enough, you're right! I didn't realise.  I thought it was North of Halifax

+ 1 for Pule Hill, I cut my teeth trad climbing there, its still got a special place in my heart,  even though it’s a bit stiff and necky.  It’s still got the ability to humble me. 😂

But it should probably be pointed out that the Hebden Bridge area is not the land of fast and straight roads.
