Riddle me this, which is more breathable? Single or double weave soft shell fabrics?
I recently acquired a pair of Rab's Ascendor Light trousers, which use a single weave soft shell material. I had sort of assumed, due to their low weight and thinness of the fabric, that they would be nice and breathable / good for summer.
It's obviously hard to compare without back to back testing but I've not found them to be overly breathable. My older ME Ibex, which are much heavier and a double weave, seem to have better air flow.
