Cant be too specific to your question but I might be able to offer insight via my wife.
She uses my old Diablo jacket that was a basic prototype version of the much used Firefox (stripped down Tupllak). Obviously it's a man's cut which she prefers as the more wider cut works better over many layers when winter climbing. She prefers her own lighter ladies cut waterproof when we're out scrambling and hiking. My wife is the same height as me (6ft) and a similar build. She can wear my jackets fine but I can't wear hers as they are too tight in all the wrong places.
As you go further up the range it seems the ladies cut is less articulated to their form compared to the lighter jackets.
If you're a bloke wondering if the ladies cut might work better I'd say no but if you're wondering is a man's cut for a woman could work then I would say it depends on her needs and body shape. Hope that helps.
