We're talking head circumference/ volume, not ego here. 

What helmets do climbers with a larger head favour?

For context I've had a Grivel Salamander for ages which fits great - plenty of space even with a hat on underneath.

But I've just ordered a Petzl Meteor, size M/L, and it feels right on the borderline of fitting - with a beanie the adjuster at the back has to be fully open. 

The Salamander fits up to 62cm and the Meteor 61cm supposedly.

Black Diamond helmets are generally better than Petzl for me.

Ditto, BD M/L works for me, either old Vapor or new Capitan.

Ditto. The old Vapor was good but they seem to have fooked it up with the new one. Fiddly adjustment for marginal weight savings. & it looks like a larger external volume as well.

Agree with those exact points. 

Personally I love the new version vapour, the cradle is slightly more fiddly but weight savings are not limited to the cradle, its different construction to the old one, it genuinely is ( for me) the only one I've used that I forget that I'm wearing it, the downside of course is that you have to be a bit more careful with it than the older one, don't sit on it, that sort of thing. There was a great video review on here recently about it

The new Vapor is better in my opinion, although the cradle isn’t my favourite.

I also use the new Scirocco which does not fit on my head with a beanie, but the Vapor does.

Probably marginally prefer the Scirocco if I’m not wearing a hat.

Think I have a BD shaped head , not a petzl one 

I used to say that, then I got sent the new Scirocco and was surprised!
