So I know it’s a long shot but anything is worth a try…

My partner and I are planning to move to the Isle of Skye around mid-February for work and are looking for a property to rent if possible.

If you or someone you know has a property available (or knows of something coming up), we’d be so grateful if you could get in touch or offer any advice.

We’d love to find something in the south around Kyle, Breakish, Broadford, or Sleat areas, but we’re open to other suggestions too. I’ll be working in Sleat so it would be great if it was reasonably commutable to there.

A bit about us:

- We’re young professionals moving to Skye for work.

- Clean, tidy, and dependable tenants.

- Will treat any property as if it were our own.

- ⁠Pet friendly would be ideal (we have one small, non-shedding, very well behaved dog).

We are open to all suggestions and would appreciate any advice/pointers anyone has on this.

Whilst it would only be a short term solution, maybe look at long term use of a holiday rental. I'm sure during the winter months a mutually agreeable rent could be negotiated, giving them a guaranteed income rather than having the property mostly stood empty through until the tourist season.

Obviously not suitable long term, but might be an option if you are struggling to find something for your deadline.
