I have just picked this up from the UIAA and am posting for awareness:

Probably worth saying it's not really a safety issue:

"We have identified performance loss issues during product lifespan on a series of our AERO 10cm, 13cm, 16cm and 19cm steel ice screws.

As a result, there is a risk of encountering significant resistance to screwing after a few uses."

They're offering to replace them with a different model of screw.

That probably depends on how pumped you are when placing it, but it doesn't seem like an earth shattering issue I agree.

Hopefully they are able to follow through with promised prompt return of replacement screws.

There's a joke in there for someone braver than me.
