I have the old orange vipers, are the current picks compatible with the old orange vipers? On the website it states "Fits on all current interchangeable-pick ice tools" which seems to state the won't fit.

Yes

If it's one of the new picks that has I.C.E in the title then it won't - only fitting the latest Hydra tools. All picks before that were for any axe, including what you have.

We use the old orange vipers and have just bought some replacement picks at a much cheaper price from the Polish Kusnia website. Not used them yet but they look fine and feedback from users is good.
