Looking for anyone who has got hold of a pair of the new comp shoes, I've tried the usual, BF, V12 and Joe Brown, but none have stock.

"Scarper Gecko, our latest competition shoe is essentially a sticky version of the incredibly popular Instinct VS, it uses the same last and rand as the VS for high levels of sensitivity and accurate foot placements. The Gekko has a semi-aggressive profile will work well at any angle but will still allow you to pull in on holds when on overhanging terrain.

The use of a softer mid-sole and carefully harvested gekko moult skin makes for a more all round performance on smooth, shiny, no- grip textures.

A Lorica upper means greater flexibility and durability but it will also hold its shape better than leather and a combination of an elasticated slipper system and a velcro closure holds your foot securely in place."

Somebody must have had a go in these, maybe they'd work on peak limestone too?

Good luck. I've been trying to track down a pair of the new Scarper Chameleons - the ones that can change colour to match your trendy climbing keks

Yeah, those chameleons are very hard to find.

You'd do better trying a specialist shop like Go Outdoors or Millets, plenty in last time I went.
