An odd question I know: when you stay in a travel lodge do you use your security swipe card to get through the corridor doors, or can you just wander around the corridors but use your swipe card purely for access to your room ?

Husband regularly stays in them and certainly some you need to swipe to access your corridor.

It varies but usually you'll need the key to either access the lift or the floor.

Indeed, it's not super-secure, just a light deterrent.

In the ones we've used down in Cornwall, you only swipe to get through the door to the hotel in reception, and your own room door, nothing else.
