Looking for a guide in Trysil Norway

Hi all,

I'm not sure if I should post here or in destinations; please move forward if so.

So, I know this is a bit of a long shot, but next week, I am going to my partner's cabin in Norway, Trysil, specifically (I am told) Bittermarka. I was wondering if anyone knew any guides I could hire to take me on some intro ice climbing. I also realise that it is late in the season, so there might be no ice at all. I have tried googling this myself, but I haven't really been able to find much, so I would appreciate it if anyone has any insights!

TIA

James

I can’t comment on ice climbs but my son lives in Norway and is struggling to find enough snow to ski on. The weather forecast is not hopeful either.

The web cameras for the Trysil ski resort at Trysilfjellet will give you an idea of conditions on the ground at altitude.

Bittermarka is around the Mjølsjøen area and ~45km north from Innbygda/ Trysil, a webcam a little further north isn't looking too promising...

The weather forecast for Mjølsjøen is uhmm... https://www.yr.no/nb/v%C3%A6rvarsel/daglig-tabell/1-166184/Norge/Innlandet/...

Thanks everyone for your input indeed the weather wasn't in our favour and much of the snow has gone.
