We've got a Nissan Leaf which we're big fans of and don't want to change anytime soon. Over the last couple of years though we've been increasingly noticing that new public chargers, particularly at motorway services, are all CCS connectors with very few new Chademo. 

Knowing there's other leaf / ev drivers on here I wondered if anyone has tried one of the CCS to Chademo convertors as an option or has any thoughts on whether they're actually necessary or safe options for that matter.

I have considered it, but can't justify the cost. I occasionally do a wee charge on a type 2 to get me to the next chademo if needed. But certainly around here, we still have enough with chademo for now. 

I guess some second hand ones might be available in a few years. I'm holding out of that 

Yeah. Feeling similar and hoping they come down in price or second hand becomes more of an option.
