Lightroom Classic Users: suggest you update to the new DeNoise Tool

It's quite something to behold.

Adobe a bit late to party (the former DNG route as unworkable IMO), but they got there in the end and it was worth the wait (from trying out on a few images so far and by the reception it's getting on web).

... non LR users: no need to contribute/comment, lol.

Is that because LR's new NR is still not the best in town even though you have to pay monthly for it?

Whilst I'm no expert, and the laptop I'm using is so far from the leading edge that it's probably been lapped a few times by now, I found it slow and very power-hungry; these might, of course, both be related to the age of the equipment.

I shall persevere!

In reply to Tony Buckley:

a 40MP RAW at ISO3200 takes about 4 seconds on my newish PC (pretty good current spec & GPU);

Only needs to run once per image though, then you can toggle and change strength of effect in real time.
