Hi, when I use all but the lightest headtorch, my helmet slips down towards my eyes somewhat and is really annoying. I think I know how to adjust a helmet in general, but I haven't played with resetting the triangular side webbing straps.

The problem is equal with a petzl or a BD helmet. Even a petzl swift lamp is no good.

Am I the only one? Any solutions?

Try wearing a buff under the helmet.

That shouldn't happen. Your helmet is either a bad fit for the shape of your head, or it's badly adjusted.

Shave your head, and super glue the helmet in place?

Mystery solved.

Turns out this only occurs for me with a helmet that doesn't have a real cradle. If the helmet has a full plastic cradle going around the back of the head, I can hang any torch off it and it stays however I move my head around.

But with a lightweight helmet without a cradle and just a strap around the nape of the neck a heavier torch makes the whole thing droop after awhile.

Maybe I just have a strangely shaped head.

What helmet do you currently have? 

You can't be wearing it correctly or you have a helmet that isn't fit for purpose.

Any helmet similar in type (as in most modern helmets) to the below will not fall forward if adjusted correctly

Edit: Sorry David, your head's just weird shaped. With enough time and counselling you may eventually come to terms with that 😉

Maybe you don't. I've noticed the same thing w the new BD Vapor (w/o a headlamp). The old model was fine. Not so the new one.
