Sequence of marsh harriers. I was helping survey tubular water dropwort (I’d never even heard of this plant to be honest) at 7 in the morning when saw these marsh harriers. It looks like this years male (female type plumage but smaller) with its adult mother (larger, female type plumage but scraggy tail feathers, one mounted out, so probs not this years fledged.

Spoonbills, later on in the day, after I’d dried out from ending up in a ditch.

HOM for the Spoonbills I presume - I note that the single one flying isn't old enough to use a spoon

There’s a few young spoonbills kicking about. Not easy to age exactly, but think I saw four recently fledged.
