I am heading to Pakencia for several weeks in Sep with some US friends [I live in the US]. As far as I can tell the only guidebook is the one by Boris Cujic https://www.paklenica-croatia.com/shop/paklenica-climbing-guide/

It's not so easy to get European guides in the US....so is there a climbing shop in the nearly town of  Stangrad or should I try and get this in Split where we are flying to...? Or is it sold ef by the Park or local bookstores?

Any other helpful info about climbing there?

Thanks

Simon

It's been a few years since I've been but there was a climbing shop in the square in Starigrad and I'm pretty sure the Tourist Information Centre sold it too.

It's a great climbing destination, hope you enjoy your trip!

You can buy the guidebook at Iglu Sport in Starigrad (Google maps link bellow) or at the souvenir shop in the gorge.

Enjoy your trip, it is a wonderful place.

Yes as others have said, you will be able to find the guide easily locally, iglu is a local outdoor shop franchise with locations around croatia and slovenia, they will 100% have it, not least because Boris C is also the boss of Iglusport in Croatia.

The guide is very good and comprehensive, with great pics. Cujic is a major developer in Paklenica and has done loads and loads of first ascents, you might even bump into him. Paklenica is well visited by local climbers from across Croatia and Slovenia so if you ask around you will find lots of extra info. Restoran Dinko is the main hangout for climbers. LMK if you need any more info.
