Any good ideas ?

LR Classic. Separate catalogue just for the book with about 110 pages, 400-600 photos. I've laid up about 80 pages and I think it'll go out to about 110, 120 (the last few pages are a bit denser and will take a few more hours work.) Intended for Blurb.

And every so often, unpredictably... blam. Everything beyond page 75 evaporates. At present I'm making backup catalogues and occasional duplicate book copies within the catalogue so I can inch my way slowly towards the end. I'm a bit anxious I may just not be able to get there.

I'm a bit tied into this, because it's the third volume in a series and uses formats/styles carried over from prior versions. Last year I considered dipping out and getting a proper layup package, even downloaded to try, but the learning curve was too steep and I'm on a bit of a deadline.

I don't think I'm straining any resources... local disk, offboard HDD etc. Any clues very welcome. I've had a glimpse of the photo sites but... you folks are probably better tbh. Thanks in advance...

I can't help directly, but maybe Reddit's Lightroom group can help. The techo groups I've used in there have been pretty good. https://www.reddit.com/r/Lightroom/
