To those that knew him, and those that cared for him,

William Perrin - a young man - died at his home in Cwm-Y-Glo, Snowdonia (Monday 2nd August 2004).

He'll be sorely missed by many. An astonishing boy... and the finest rockclimber I knew.

If that's true it's terrible. I met him on the crags a couple of times and he was always very friendly.

As in Jim Perrin's lad?

Condolences in any case.

Will was a superb climber - and a lovely person.
His memory will always be with us.

Sorry to hear that - real sorry for Jim as well. A hell of a thing to happen.

In reply to Anonymous: I'll always remember the times you came to stay in Peveril Road, how you embarrassed me in front of my girlfriend and how much of a laugh we had when you visited. However infrequent our meetings had become you were always a friend to me. You will be sorely missed mate.

Such a shock and so very sad.
Our paths crossed working at The Eden Project where Will was a popular and well-liked member of the team.
He was always ready to shoot down bullshitters with his rapier wit and had us all in stitches many, many times.
A huge loss to the climbing community.
You will be greatly missed Will. RIP
Condolences to friends and family.

Yes, sadly I heard about it this morning from a 100 per cent reliable source, and was told to keep it to myself.

Enormously sad, and simply to offer condolences to Jim scarcely seems adequate.

Only met him once in Bishop, but I was deeply impressed by his energy and optimism. Had some great chats with him. Very sad.
