Hi all,

Apologies in advance, for the novice terminology knowledge! This is part of a collection of long term goals that I'm trying to plan out and understand the details better.

I'm hoping someone would please help clarify the Climbing Wall Instructor Award requirements...

"You must have logged a minimum of 30 personal climbing visits to at least three different climbing walls."

Does this mean...

1. 30 visits at 3 different climbing centers i.e. 90 visits in total, 30 at each center

2. 30 visits in total, but must include at least 3 different climbing centers e.g. 28 visits at location 1; 1 visit at location 2; and 1 visit at location 3

or

3. 30 visits in total, equally split across 3 different climbing centers e.g. 10 visits at location 1; 10 visits at location 2; and 10 visits at location 3.

Similar question for...

"You must have assisted in the supervision of at least 15 instructed sessions on at least two different walls"

I'm assuming one climbing center is classed as one 'wall'... is that correct??

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks

2.

Yes, 15 sessions (approximately) at two different centres. Ideally, these are spready roughly in an even way. A morning counts as one session and an afternoon as another, so 1 full day = 2 sessions.

As with everything, if you only have the "minimum" experience, you will not look as good on paper as if you have done much more than the minimum. Likewise, the more varied and more rich learning, the better.

All best

That's great, thank you very much for your response!! (Can also confirm the minimum isn't the target)
