It's a constant irritation for me everyday. I head off to work, driving past the Buckmore Park site at the top of the Bluebell Hill, wondering what on earth is going to come of the indoor climbing facility that has been moth-balled, along with a host of other leisure facilities due to a legal ownership and land access dispute. Climbing walls in the Maidstone / Medway areas are few (Arethusa Venture Centre is it as far as i know!)and the added option of Buckmore Park would be a welcome one. Does anyone have any insight?

In reply to johnnorley: I looked at that again a few months ago and I think the Scouts are back in there now with limited access... but all I knwo is the info that I found on google and I can't remember the exact details.. Its a shame as was quite nice from what I remember.

Funny you should mention lack of walls in maidstone, Myself and a pal are looking around for somewhere to set up a mile end sized centre

In reply to zorro: all the climbing stuff is still in situ, photos on the net taken through a window show this. medway maindstone is desperate for a bigger centre, arethusa has a good boulder room and a ten meter indoor lead room, as well as an outdoor tower, but on an evening, it can get packed. i would welcome an additional venue.
