WINNER - Win a Jöttnar Winter Climbing Clothing Package Worth £1,255 Competition

© Jottnar

WINNER: Leo gavan

Get kitted out for winter with a clothing package from Jöttnar. To be won is a Bergelmir shell jacket, Vanir salopettes, an Alfar mid layer and a Hamr base layer.

The Bergelmir and Vanir, both favoured tools of winter climbers, feature our new proprietary waterproof breathable fabric, SKJOLDR™. Waterproof and bombproof, these items have got your back in the very worst of weather. The iconic Alfar will keep you warm and protected and the Hamr base layer, made from superfine Merino, provides comfort and dryness.

All garments have been extensively abused and tested in the polar regions, the Alps and the Himalaya, but excel in arguably the harshest conditions of all – Scottish winter.

Congratulations to Leo Gavan for winning this amazing prize. I'm not bitter (I am bitter) but I've been entering UKC competitions since registering in 2004 and I've never won one - that's fifteen years without a single win. Leo Gavan registers last week and scoops £1255 worth of beautiful mountaineering gear. I'm not bitter though, honestly. Good luck to Leo, I'm sure he'll be VERY HAPPY WITH HIS NEW WARDROBE.

I've been entering the lottery since 1997 but haven't won it, yet people who have entered once have blah blah blah.

It's down to chance, there's no a conspiracy against you.

It does make it quite tempting to set up some automation to set up a few thousand dummy accounts to tip the scales in my favour though...
