Designed by Black Diamond in the Salt Lake City office basement, a true collaboration between our athletes and legendary Cobbler George. 

The Method S has a moderate downturned last for steep climbing, activated slingshot for excellent tension, rubberized toe box and molded heel, which makes heel hooks and toe hooks feel like second nature. Soft sticky rubber soles are optimized for grip while smearing, with a horseshoe midsole maintaining edging ability, without sacrificing performance or weight. An engineered knit upper makes the Method S breathable and comfortable next to the skin, with a single velcro strap for quickly removing the shoes between burns. Women's specific design incorporates a low-volume last.
