WINNER: chinwaa

Take to the trail with your dog this summer. Ruffwear's hassle-free lightweight kit helps keep your dog cool and hydrated as the temperatures rise.

Trail Runner System

Run hands-free with the Trail Runner System. The Trail Runner™ Belt offers humans a comfortable, bounce-free, load-dispersing design with an intuitive leash attachment release for quick disconnect when needed. The belt includes a zippered, water-resistant pocket, a stretch mesh pocket, and an included 21 ounce, BPA-free Ruffwear water bottle that fits securely in a holster on the back. While the belt is compatible with any leash, this system includes our shock-absorbing Ridgeline™ Leash, designed at a length that's optimised for running or walking.

Trail Runner Bowl

The Trail Runner Bowl is a great way to keep your dog hydrated on the move. This ultralight bowl packs into itself for ultimate portability, fitting neatly into the pocket of the Trail Runner Belt. Inspired by trail runners and anyone looking to shed ounces or grams, this minimalist fabric bowl is perfect for water and fuel breaks on the trail.

Hi & Light Harness

Take the pressure off your dog's neck and gain more control by linking your leash into a harness instead of a collar. The Hi & Light Harness is a strong lightweight dog harness with sizes from XXXS to XL. Designed for active dogs the lightweight construction features a single V-ring leash attachment point on the back so you can easily link it up to your Trail Runner System.

Jet Stream Cooling Vest

When temperatures rise the Jet Stream Cooling Vest helps keep your dog cool. Available in 2 colours this lightweight vest is designed to cover your dogs vital organs to cool efficiently through shading and evaporative cooling. The three-layer construction cools the core by a wicking outer layer reflecting heat, and absorbent middle layer storing water for evaporation and a mesh lining keeping the dog dry. To use soak in water, wring out and go!

I always suspected that "trail running" was just a marketing ploy, but this really is taking it to extremes.

Fundamentally bad design. If I had a "running" dog, I'd want it to be wearing the heavy items like water bottles. Why on earth would I want to carry them if I had a four legged friend full of bouncy energy.

I have of course still entered the comp. No doubt I'm likely to win because I'm not a dog owner. Do you think it would work with one of my cats :-)
