WINNER - Win Your Choice of Edelrid Crampon Competition

WINNER: Maddie

With Winter drawing ever closer, for a lot of climbers, the focus will be starting to shift from rock climbing to ice and mixed. Whether you're climbing grade II gullys, VIII mixed lines or heading out for a day ski touring EDELRID have a crampon for the job.

We are giving one lucky climber the chance to win their choice of crampon from the three models shown below. All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer the simple question!

DEMON (£190 RRP)

The ideal choice for steep ice and mixed lines!

The Demon is a high-end crampon made of high-quality steel with optimised point positioning. The revised geometry and position of the robust front points provides perfect alignment on the crampon and ultimate bite in steep terrain, whether for ice or mixed climbing and whether in a mono or dual point set-up.

SHARK (£135 RRP)

The Shark is a technical 12-point crampon for ice climbing, mountaineering, and expeditions.

Versatility is ensured with full binding flexibility. Included in the box is an automatic binding for crampon-proof mountain and ski boots, semi-automatic binding for partially crampon-proof mountain boots and soft binding for flexible mountain boots without crampon mount.

NEMO LITE (£140 RRP)

One of the lightest fully-fledged crampons on the market.

The Nemo Lite combines hardened aluminium with a textile bridge, weighs just 300g, and can be folded up to an extremely compact size.
The perfect choice for those who move quickly when ski mountaineering or mountain climbing and for whom every gram of gear counts.

Well thats 2 if you just count the stabby, solid front points that can be removed or 4 if you count the 2 fixed points off to each side. All points are individual but the question is rather open to interpretation.

The 2 large jagged front points can be removed, and replaced with 2 shorter jagged front points which are provided with the crampons (for certain terrains and conditions). So the answer could be: 4 because 4 individual front points come with the crampons; or 2 because you can only use 2 at a time.

Based on wording of question I suspect 4

That's where we all get to differing places because I asked my wife what the answer is and she asked why '3' wasn't a choice. I went with 2! Bit botched this one, we should all get a pair!

Also, gullies not gullys!
