WINNERS - Win One Of 3 Petzl GRIGRI + Belay Devices Competition

© Petzl

When Petzl created the GRIGRI belay device over 25 years ago, we developed a new approach to belaying, through the use of assisted braking. With the new GRIGRI +, the family grows...

The GRIGRI + naturally finds its place beside its older brother, the GRIGRI 2....
Comfortable to use and compatible with a wide range of rope diameters, it can be used by all climbers and in a variety of situations. The anti-panic handle and top-rope mode make it very suitable for learning and teaching climbing.

GRIGRI+ is an assisted braking device designed for all climbers and for intensive use. It can be used with all single ropes (optimized for 8.9 to 10.5 mm diameter ropes) with a handle designed to offer exceptional descent control.

• Weight: 200 g
• Rope compatibility: single ropes (optimized for 8.9 to 10.5 mm diameters)
• Material(s): aluminum side plates, stainless steel friction plate and wear plate, reinforced nylon handle

Particularly suitable for learning:
- anti-panic handle: if the user pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function brakes and stops the descent
- top-rope mode facilitates taking slack and provides a comfortable top-rope belay.

UKC's Rob Greenwood recently attended the GRIGRI + launch and has a preview and his thoughts here.

We have 3 GRIGRI +'s up for grabs for three winners. Simply answer the question below.
