Hackney Wick Boulder Project, London's friendliest wall is looking for a new centre manager. First built in late 2016, HWBP has become more than a climbing wall with a strong social element, inclusive events and a progressive approach to customers service. We are searching for a new Centre Manager to manage the day-to-day running of the centre and maintain the reputation and culture for our community. If you are a creative, welcoming person that is looking to develop new approaches to bouldering this could be the perfect job for you.
Main Responsibilities
- Day-to-day running of the centre
- HR including rota building, staff training,
- Marketing and branding
- Liaising with the Route Setting Manager to ensure minimal disruption
- Creating and overseeing events with the customer in mind
- Implementing directives from the Managing Director

Essential Qualities
- Excellent leadership skills
- Actively seek to better the company and drive sales through marketing and careful branding
- The ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff
- Be prepared to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Creative and able to solve problems
Desirable Qualities
- Experience in motivating and managing teams
- Hold coaching or instructional qualifications
- Experience of working with computer systems and climbing wall operating systems
- Management experience in climbing or leisure centres
Hours/Salary
- £20,000-£24,000 depending on experience and qualification
- 40 hours per week including evenings and weekends
