The legendary, fully accessible, free-for-all, tented Basecamp Village is the social heart of Kendal Mountain Festival - a place to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, check out the latest outdoor kit and listen to live music.

This year the main Festival Basecamp moves to a new, larger location in Kendal's Abbot Hall Park where visitors will discover free talks from adventurers, icons and heroes of the outdoor world, plus activities and competitions from well-known outdoor brands.

There's something for all of the family and it's a place you'll find yourself returning to time and time again over the Festival weekend.

Festival director, Clive Allen says:

'We're delighted to be able to increase the footprint of our Basecamp this year, providing more space for the socialising we've all missed over the pandemic.'

Tickets for speaker events and films are now on sale and the line-up is bigger than ever. This year's speaker roster includes record breaking athletes and adventurers: Aldo Kane, Anna Blackwell, James McHaffie, Mark Beaumon, Joss Naylor, Charlie Ramsay, Mhairi Helme, Anna Taylor, Leo Houlding and Anna McNuff. And of course the Festival is back with it's inspiring collection of World Premiere Film Screenings including vertigo-inducing climbing content and cinematically beautiful cultural documentaries.

Festival dates are 18-21 November and you can explore the full programme here - tickets.kendalmountainfestival.com
