MOON CLIMBING - DIGITAL MANAGER 

Moon Climbing is dedicated to designing and manufacturing high-quality, durable climbing clothes, accessories and training equipment. Founded in 2002 by Ben Moon, we are a small team with a lifelong love of climbing and the great outdoors. We have now created the new role of Digital Manager. 

As our Digital Manager you will be responsible for integrating and coordinating all our digital assets to raise brand awareness, increase sales, grow the customer base and improve user experience.

To achieve this you will collaborate with the whole Moon team, including our athlete manager and product developers, to lead our digital narrative through all stages from project initiation to the measurement of their effectiveness and success. 

As well as designing and implementing our digital strategy, you will be responsible for the day-to-day creation of original text, integrating our video content, managing posts, responding to followers and overseeing liaison with digital partners.

Alongside the duties and responsibilities associated with our social media engagement you will also ensure that website content works seamlessly with the social media output. You will develop website strategy that informs, inspires and builds the Moon climbing community while promoting our products, ethos and values. You will also be responsible for overseeing site security and performance. 

To fulfil the role of Digital Manager, you will be expected to:

  • Communicate with all key stakeholders to understand projects and development.
  • Create an integrated and cost-effective digital strategy.
  • Conduct web content review and updates.
  • Consult closely with our software providers to resolve errors and enhance performance.
  • Ensure security associated with the digital platforms.
  • Perform analysis of social media and website traffic and trends, and be able to capitalize on this whilst providing clear reporting for the Company.
  • Evolve a long-term digital strategy for the business.

To be a successful candidate for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with a variety of digital touchpoints.
  • Website design and management alongside delivery of sales objectives.
  • Firm grasp of emerging digital tools.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Knowledge of graphic software.
  • Understanding of programming languages.
  • Expertise in SEO.
  • Acquaintance with web measurement analytics.

In addition to the qualifications outlined above, we will treat extremely favourably  applications from candidates who have experience in application and software development. The free MoonBoard smartphone app enables anyone training on a MoonBoard unique access to a global community of climbers and their vast network of user-generated problems. A key focus of our business strategy is to develop the reach of the app further, with a specific focus on integrating it with all or other digital touchpoints. The Digital Manager will be responsible for overseeing this development.

The Moon Climbing team are home-workers, based in Sheffield, though we are happy to consider applicants from candidates who are located elsewhere, providing that they can make regular trips to Sheffield.

The salary for this position will be £35,000 to £45,000, based on experience.
